The Annapurna region is the family of several peaks and Mountains over 7000m high. Part of the range forms a natural enclosure known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, ringed by giants Mountains such as Annapurna I, Annapurna south, glacier dome, Gangapurna, Fang and Machhapuchhare. We trek through farmland, Gurung and Mangar villages, and we walk through the forest of rhododendrons, fur, and pine trees and we will come across wild animals along the way in the hillsides around Ghorepani, Tadapani. We will have chance to go up to Poonhill for a magnificent panoramic sunrise views of the Annapurna’, and Dhauligri, Mountain range from Poonhill.
From Birethanti the trekking trail ascends all the way to Ghorepani, and from Ghorepani the path again ascends through forest with beautiful views along the way to Deurali and descent to Tadapani, and Chhumurnung, and Entering a narrow forested hills and valley we pass directly below Mt Machhapuchhare before reaching the Annapurna Base Camp. We explore this magnificent place before returning to Pokhara. This is a reasonably demanding trek offering close-up mountain views unparallel to any other Himalayan Trekking.
